Thanks Carol!!!!

Tanev for a 1st, lower of the 2 2nds, Lillybust (you should be able to flip), Andreas Johnsson, and ONE of Matthews, Marner, Nylander.

You'd be able to flip that cap dump to Buffalo or Montreal for a decent pick though.

You've gotta think about all the scenarios to truly be a good GM

I am curious how people here value our prospects: If Chicago offered their 1st round pick this year (currently 8th) for Gaudette, would anyone take it?

Course you would. Yzermna isn't a poope GM though. I think the offer I proposed would be the best you'd get to be honest. Tampa Bay's 1st round pick will be 30 or 31. Leafs would be a lottery pick, due to sophomore slumps, injuries and averaging goaltending.

Archibald, Biega and Dowd may be scraps, but they are also UFA's who should be pawned off to the highest bidder if at all possible.

Biega for a 5th?
Archibald for a 5th?
Dowd for a 6th or 7th?

I know Yzerman's a good GM, that's why I said Foote + 1st and left out a 2nd rounder.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Canucks most urgent need is in the net. Our goal tending hasn't been this bad since the Felix Potvin days. Yes, Nilsson and Markstrom occasionally have a good game but more often than not are average or just plain bad. So if it takes a Tanev or Hutton or Vanek or all to get one, you've automatically gained 15 -20 points in the standings.

None of those guys are getting you a goaltender of any significance.

Let’s face it, this can never be Guddy’s team as long as Horvat is here. He basically called Horvat a pousse for doing nothing when Brock got nailed from behind. #tradehorvatnowwhilethereisstilltime

If they get Karlsson you might be able to do a swap.

To be honest, I actually think (and hope) Tanev will end up in Tampa. They need 1 more D and Karlsson and McDonagh might cost too much.
